Jammer – Ideal Weapon Against Falsification
Lately Ukrainians had to choose a person who will lead them to prosperity and as always some political forces tried to use any chance to gain more votes, even illegal ones . In addition to ”ordinary” methods of falsification that were used during previous elections, improved ways of interfering into voting process took place.
Everyone knows that the most widely spread method of falsification at any elections is bribing of voters. But this technique has one big disadvantage, there is a possibility that voter will take money and still give his vote to another candidate. It was almost impossible to find out the voter’s choice until now. Today’s technologies allowed a person to get full control over the voting process of another person with the help of various secret tools. Thus several political forces started to place small hidden wireless cameras on the bribed voters to receive real time video from voting cabin and so got the opportunity to check whether the voter made the “right” decision. Also for these purposes cell phones that support video calls were used.
Knowing all this, other parties equipped their representatives with special cell phone jammer to block 2.4 GHz frequency and thus to prevent opponents from using wireless cameras. Also GSM and 3G jammers were used to block all cell phones at the voting cabins. In the vast majority of cases only one jammer was used. That universal jammer not only blocks all these bands but also is very compact so it was not a problem to use it secretly.
As you can see, jammers become more and more popular at the post-Soviet territories. The demand for phonejammers is growing not only among common people but also among different government officials and organizations. In January 2010 jammers were used at the elections, in spring 2010 cell phoneblockers are supposed to be used during exams at schools. What’s next?
